What the QR Code Generator does
- Encodes any link or text into a QR code, rendered entirely in your browser.
- Builds proper Wi-Fi payloads, so scanning the code joins the network on iOS and Android without typing a password.
- Lets you set foreground and background colours, image size, quiet-zone width and error-correction level.

What it doesn't do
- It doesn't create dynamic or trackable codes. The destination is baked into the code permanently — to change it later, point the code at a URL you control and redirect from there.
- It doesn't scan or decode existing QR codes.
- It doesn't embed a logo in the middle of the code. If you add one yourself, use High error correction so the code still scans.
Frequently asked questions
Do these QR codes expire?
No. The code is a direct encoding of your text or link, not a redirect through our servers, so it works forever and keeps working if this site disappears. The flip side is that you can't change where it points after printing it.
Can I use these codes commercially?
Yes. QR Code is a registered trademark of Denso Wave, but the patent has long expired and the format is free to use for any purpose, including on products and packaging. There's no watermark and no attribution required.
Which error correction level should I choose?
Medium is right for anything shown on a screen. Choose Quartile or High for printed codes, stickers, or anywhere the surface might get scuffed or partly covered — higher levels can lose up to about 30% of the code and still scan, at the cost of a denser image.
Is my Wi-Fi password sent anywhere?
No. The code is generated in your browser and the Wi-Fi fields are deliberately kept out of the page URL, so a link you share never contains your password.
